Specialty Guidewires

The VSI Guidewires are specialty guidewires for interventional procedures. They are available in various configurations with diameters of 0.018", 0.014" or 0.035".
Our 0.018" guidewires feature soft, flexible stainless steel or highly radiopaque platinum coil tips in a variety of lengths, and have a core-wire design for flexibility and pushability with stainless steel or nitinol mandrels.
Our 0.014" guidewires are 50cm in length for specialty use. They also have a nitinol mandrel for extra support and an extremely floppy stainless steel tip.
Our 0.035" PTFE- and heparin-coated guidewires have 80cm and 145cm effecitve lengths. These double-ended guidewires feature a straight tip on one end and and a J-tip on the other.
New for 2008, the Axis Wire is a 90cm, 0.035" guidewire with the advantages of an ultra-floppy 12cm tip and an extra firm shaft. The heavy-duty proximal shaft provides support and pushability, while the highly flexible 12cm tip facilitates atraumatic access and device placement.
